Description
We were inspired by the city of Florence in choosing the name of this apartment because it is an attic, whose terrace overlooks the park of Villa Palazzon and from which you can enjoy the view of the adjacent hills used as vineyards. The type of landscape and the atmosphere that is enjoyed from this apartment is just like that of Tuscany: beautiful hills planted with vineyards, which produce among the finest wines in the world. The house is located on the top floor next to the ancient Villa "Palazzon" in via Biron di Sopra, 140 in Vicenza, in an oasis of peace, just minutes from the historic center of Vicenza immersed in silence and a landscape verdant of the adjacent hills. On the terrace of this house you can spend your evenings, enjoying the sunset behind the hills and savoring a glass of red wine. The very spacious and bright apartment is equipped with every comfort and with high quality finishes. Three large bedrooms, including a very romantic attic room, a kitchen, and a room overlooking the terrace, as well as two bathrooms. Air-conditioned environment, windows with mosquito nets and a generously sized private garage as well as reserved parking spaces outside. The large common garden available to the houses of Villa Palazzon, complete a framework for a stay in a prestigious context, where children can play freely and safely and where you can have outdoor parties, barbecues with friends or simply enjoy the reading a book in the shade of the trees. Florence, like all the apartments of Villa Palazzon, is just 5 minutes' drive from the Barracks Del Din, and 15 minutes from the Ederle Barracks. The city center is easily reachable by bike (10 min) or by car (5 min). The American School Bus has just one stop in front of the main gate of the Villa.
The city of Florence
This apartment takes its name from the city of Florence, capital of the Tuscany region, of inestimable historical and architectural value. No words are needed to describe this capital city of Italian culture, which gave birth to the most important Renaissance painters and sculptors: Giotto, Brunelleschi, Donatello, Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci are certainly among the most famous. Among the many artworks to see in Florence: the Cathedral, the Ponte Vecchio, the Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery Museum where the Michelangelo’s David is kept. A small tour also deserves to the Central Market and the nearby hills planted with vineyards and numerous small medieval villages: San Gimignano, Vinci, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Monteriggioni and many others. There are numerous Bed & Breakfast equipped with every comfort where you can relax after admiring the artworks among the most famous in the world, or the cellars open to the public where you can taste and buy the best Italian wines: Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti, Montepulciano! We are sure you will love these areas, and come back more than once during your stay in Italy. What we suggest to taste in Florence: Ribollita is a soup that is only found in these areas, based on bread and vegetables, but if you like meat, you should definitely ask for the "Fiorentina" steak. It is a cut of Chianina meat that has in the middle the bone in the shape of a "T" T-Bone Steak of generous size, cooked to the blood. To finish the meal we recommend the “Cantuccini” (biscuits) to dip in the Vin Santo (a fortified wine). To visit the city of Florence, we recommend you use the fast train, which in just 2 hours allows you (with a quick change of train in Padua) to reach the heart of the city. If in your stay you also want to visit the numerous medieval towns and villages that overlook the surrounding hills, then the car is the ideal vehicle. Distance: 146 mi (235 km) Motorway A4 towards Venice and then to Padua A13 Direction Bologna-Florence For these and more information follow our Facebook page or ask us directly for any useful advice to better enjoy your Italian stay.
